Ruth believes humans are amazing, they just need the space to be so. She was drawn to Humanity Project after her magnificent community cafe, The Canvas, was forced to close in 2022.
Ruth saw the best of humanity at The Canvas, where it operated for 8 years as a vital resource in Tower Hamlets, providing free home-cooked food and hot drinks to disadvantaged local families and homeless people living on and around Brick Lane, and hosting on average 60 free community events every month.
With the positivity of people-power still beating in her heart, Ruth now oversees the growth of Humanity Project, around adventures with her 2 young children.
