Dot is an experienced community organiser and trainer. Starting as a trainee community organiser in 2012, her work has involved supporting a diverse range of organisations, charities, community groups and individuals, in the UK and Europe. She continues to develop her practice, spanning rural to urban organising.
In 2016 she set up her own initiative, Let’s Co-organise and went on to deliver training to Students’ Unions around the country. Dot also won funding to work with Community Rights projects, registering buildings as assets and supporting campaigning against the loss of vital community space.
Dot has brought and embedded community organising in to: housing campaigning and community led housing movements locally and around the UK, government agencies engagement work (mainly focussing on fisheries outreach), and local food-based social enterprises.
