Another successful annual event for Community Organisers in 2021
CO21 was our 7thannual meet up and our second online. It was a great success with 140 attendees accessing 30 workshops over 4 days. A total of 37 hours of content was facilitated and shared.
The main theme of the event focused upon the Positive Power of Place, with place being seen as the glue that unites communities in the face of division.
Workshops and webinars varied from the role of storytelling, community journalism and poetry in community organising, as well as exploring the role of faith in place, looking at how to spark social change and ensuring people are connected to place.
What I found most useful was hearing about the first-hand experiences and different approaches to community organising... learning about what works well in different situations.
A big thank you to all of the organisations, partners and friends that took part in facilitating and delivering workshops at CO21:

CO21 was very informative. It got me thinking about our strategy for moving forward.
