To this end, FOCO has built up a network of people who have gained experience with the implementation of (elements of) community organising in recent years. In addition, FOCO initiates and accompanies various projects, regularly conducts training and thus trains people in organising.
FOCO invites experienced organisers, especially from the USA, among others, and also networks Europe-wide with other democracy initiatives (eg ECON).
The aim of FOCO is for people to become so empowered to act through community organising processes that they can change their living environment together. For this purpose, own organisations are being set up together with the people affected, e.g. in a disadvantaged district.
